JSON Scope is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of it is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, together with the additional terms below. Where the two conflict, Apple’s agreement prevails.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use JSON Scope on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, resell or sublicense the app or its source code.
2. Pro subscriptions and lifetime purchase
- Monthly — US$2.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Yearly — US$19.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Lifetime — US$34.99, a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Prices are in US dollars. Your local price and taxes are set by Apple for your storefront and shown before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. If you begin a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, the subscription begins and is charged. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Manage or cancel at any time in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, or via your Apple Account subscriptions page. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
Pro is a Universal Purchase: one purchase covers macOS, iPadOS and iOS on the same Apple Account.
3. Refunds
Purchases are made from Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly. If Apple revokes a purchase, the corresponding Pro features stop working.
4. Your files are yours
JSON Scope processes documents entirely on your device. We claim no rights over your files and never receive them. See our privacy policy.
5. Editing and data loss
JSON Scope can modify files you explicitly choose to save. Saving is atomic and preserves untouched bytes exactly, and the original file is never modified before you save. Even so, keep backups of important data. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for data loss.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use JSON Scope to violate the law or anyone else’s rights, and do not attempt to circumvent its purchase mechanisms.
7. Disclaimer and liability
JSON Scope is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above will change and the revised terms will be published at this URL. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
